Hello everyone!  The rest of the staff and I are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the NGA Summer 2024 Player Drive Bonanza!  This will be a special event where we encourage all of our existing players to get the word out to as many new players as possible, and we have some tasty new rewards that we think you'll enjoy in return for participating!  

For all returning players who participate, you will receive a special-edition Starlight set pickaxe with Silk Touch!

For all new players who are recruited and meet the requirements mentioned in Rule 2 (listed below), you will receive a special edition Starlight set pickaxe with Fortune IV!

For the players who recruit the most players with the most in-game time, there will be a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize: gift cards to our online shop worth USD 150, USD 100, and USD 50, respectively!

Here are the ground rules in order to be considered eligible for the aforementioned prizes:

Rule 1. - The competition will last from 12:00 AM US Eastern Standard Time, August 1st 2024 - 11:59 PM US Eastern Standard Time September 30, 2024.

Rule 2. - For a new player to be considered, they must have at least 14 hours of in-game time on the server and reach the rank of Rookie+, which requires a minimum of 49 votes (essentially, 7 days' worth of voting across all 7 websites where one can vote for the Nova Gilded Aegis server).

Rule 3. - If you are a recruiting/veteran NGA player wishing to participate, please make a post on <#1265116342059532359> with your in-game username and encourage all of your recruited/new players to post their in-game name as a comment under your post once they have achieved the minimum qualifications listed in rule 2.  Please refer to Xander's post as the template for these posts (screenshot attached here as well).

Rule 4. - Discipline rules:

Rule 4a. - Under no circumstances is head-hunting allowed.  Any players found to be headhunting will be swiftly banned from our community.

Rule 4b. - As implied by rule 4a, there will be no advertising on other Minecraft servers or any Minecraft server-related Discord servers.

Rule 4c. - Staff will provide links to Discord servers specifically made for advertising one's own Minecraft servers.  Advertising on those servers will be allowed.

Rule 4d. - New/recruited players are highly encouraged to describe how they were recruited in their Discord forum posts on <#1265116342059532359>. 

Rule 4e. - All players that are in the Simple Survival server are considered off-limits with regards to recruiting for this event.  Not that we should have to explain this, but any players that would have wanted to join our community from that community would have done so already.

Rule 4f. - Attempting to pass off one's own alt accounts as distinct new players is a violation of the rules.  Any player found using alt accounts to artificially boost their own position in the competition will be disqualified from the competition.

Rule 5. - If there are any ties between the top three positions in the competition based on quantity of players recruited, the tiebreaker will be determined based on the average playtime of each participant's new/recruited players.
